Can I cancel my On the Beach Holiday?

 

 

On the Beach work with many different partners to provide you with your hotel booking and flights. Whether you can cancel and how much it will cost you will depend on your individual suppliers and not on rules set by On The Beach. If you need to make a change to a booking or would like to cancel, you have to submit a request through the My Bookings section of their website and On The Beach will give you a quote. If your supplier allows cancellations, On The Beach will charge you additional cancellation fees, listed below.

 

 

How do I cancel my On the Beach Holiday?

 

Step 1: Access your holiday booking online via the Manage My Booking option. You cannot make cancellations over the phone.

Step 2: Cancel the booking.

Step 3: Pay the all cancellations fees both from On the Beach and suppliers in your booking. 

Step 4: Make sure you receive an email confirming your cancellation.

 

 

Can I recover my travel expenses from my On The Beach holiday? 

 

Be aware that cancelling your On the Beach Holiday might be more expensive that you thought.  The flight in your booking is most likely non-refundable and if you plan to cancel your holiday you will be unable to recover any costs. In addition, you will have to pay the associated cancellation fees from the airline and On The Beach. If you plan to cancel your holiday, you are responsible for paying the individuals cancellation fees that each supplier will charge along with the administration fee from On The Beach. On The Beach will charge you £150.00 administration fee on top of the suppliers fees if you make the cancellation within 28 days of the date of the holiday. If you make the cancellation outside the 28-day period before your holiday they will charge you £30.00 per person, with a maximum charge of £150 administration fee on top of the suppliers’ fees.

Can I change my On the Beach Holiday? 

 

On the beach allows you to make a culmination of changes to your booking if the suppliers within your holiday package permit the changes. It is important to read up on the individual suppliers policies before making any changes to your booking. Some suppliers do not allow changes and this may result in losing 100% of the cost of your accommodation. The change fees are outlined in the table below.

How do I change my On the Beach Holiday?

 

Step 1: Access your holiday booking online via the Manage My Booking option.

Step 2: Request to change the booking.

Step 3: Pay the all change fees both from On the Beach and suppliers in your booking. Depending on the change you want to make, you’ll either be quoted online, or their amendments team will contact you with a quote within 48 hours.

Step 4: Make sure you receive an email confirming your change.

 

 

How can I recover more money from my On the Beach Holiday?

 

Can you not use your On the Beach Holiday anymore and you want to figure out how to avoid losing the money you paid for your holiday and/or the ridiculous cancellation fees. You can sell your holiday to someone else and receive your refund that way! All you need to do is change the names on your reservation to the person you are selling it to and pay the associated name change fees. 

 

On the Beach is obligated to allow you to change the names of the travellers on a package holiday, thanks to the European Package Travel Directive. Sometimes they can do this for the whole booking, sometimes they may not be able to change the names for the flights – this will depend on your airline. You can check our list of airlines, which allow name changes to see if yours does. 

 

If you have a package holiday but cannot change the name of the flight, you can still change the name on the hotel booking and at least sell that. It is still much better than paying 100% cancellation charges!  

 

If you are allowed to change the passenger name for your flight, your airline will always charge you a name change fee. Hotels usually do not charge anything for name changes. You can change the passenger names via your online account. The price to change the name of a passenger on the booking will be shown to you before you process the request, so you will know exactly how much it will cost you.
