What happens if I wish to cancel my Jet2 holiday?

 

The good news is that you can cancel your holiday with Jet2. The bad news is that you have to pay cancellation charges and you may not be able to recover much. It is important to note that the deposit you paid for when you booked your holiday (£60 per person) is non-refundable. 

 

How do I cancel my Holiday Jet2 Holiday?

 

Jet2 allows you to cancel your holiday at any time. The cancellation is subject to a cancellation fee which is outlined in the table below. In order to cancel your Jet2 holiday, the lead person on your booking or your travel agent must send a notification in writing to Jet2. If needed the lead person can also contact Jet2 ’s Pre-Travel Services to cancel their booking.

Important Note: The cancellation fees are dependent on when the Jet2 offices receives the cancellation confirmation.

It is important to keep in mind that if you cancel or change your Jet2 holiday, particular parts of your booking such as non-refundable room or transport arrangements will treat the change as a cancellation and will require you to pay all of the charges associated with that part of the booking. The supplier of your transportation may not allow you to exchange your booking for another date and will force you to have to pay full price to make an additional booking if you need to change the dates.

Can I make changes to my Jet2 holiday  once I have made a booking and what are the charges?

 

Not all changes are allowed, although Jet2 will try their best to accommodate for changes requested. Destination changes are not allowed. If you would like to change your Jet2 holiday booking you must make the request in writing. You are responsible for paying the fees that result from the change, the additional amendment fees charged and any increases in the cost of your holiday. The amendment fees resulting from changes made to your reservation are outlined in the table below. 

 

Can I change the name on my Jet2 Holiday? 

 

Do you know that you can change the name of the person who is travelling and sell your own holiday to someone else? That way you might be able to recover much more than simply cancelling your booking. Jet2 allows you to change the names on your reservations for an amendment fee that is charged per person. All names can be changed on a booking. Any changes are subject to an amendment fee, plus any increase in cost. The amendment fee is payable per person and will be advised at the time of the change. The name change fees are outlined in the table below:

Can I recover more money from my Jet2 Holiday? 

 

Does cancelling/changing your Jet2 Holiday sound unfairly expensive? You will loose your deposit, a percentage of your holiday costs and have to pay added cancellations or amendment fees. They will most likely keep your money and then go on to sell your holiday to someone else. Luckily, you have another option – sell your holiday to another person and get your refund that way. Contact Jet2 directly in writing and request to transfer your holiday in the name of another person. You will be responsible for paying the name change fee per person which is outlined in the table above. You are also responsible for paying any additional fees that arise from the change.
