Can I cancel my Eurowings flight?

Can I cancel my Eurowings flight?

If you selected the Flex option when booking your SMART or BEST fare, you can cancel your flight before web check-in closes prior to departure at no extra charge. There are four ways to do this:

  • Via their website under "My flight"

  • Via their mobile services under "Manage flights"

  • Via their call centre

  • At their airport counters

With the Flex option, flights can also be cancelled after the time of the original departure has passed, as long as this is done on the same calendar day as the departure of the original flight, either by telephone via the call centre or in person at the airport counter. If the flight is not cancelled until after the original departure date, a charge will be incurred.

If you have selected another fare, your booking cannot be cancelled due to the low-cost price of the flight. But you still have the option to change the name and sell your flight to someone else. Read below to find out how.

Can I change my Eurowings booking?

Yes! The rules will depend on your ticket fare, where you are departing from and your destination.

Ticket fare rules:

If you booked your flight with the Flex option, you can change your flight at no extra charge up to before web check-in closes prior to the planned departure time of the affected flight online, using your mobile, via telephone or in person at the airport counter. The Flex option also allows you to change the flight date after the planned departure time, as long as this is done on the same calendar day as the departure of the original flight, via Eurowings’ call centre or in person at the airport counter. If you do not cancel your flight until after the original departure date, a charge will be incurred.

Please note that if the flight date is changed online, this can only be done within the same fare. If you would like to upgrade your fare (e.g. from BASIC to SMART), you can do so up to 72 hours prior to departure via telephone or at the airport counter.

Departure and destination rules:

Unfortunately, no booking changes can be made via Eurowings Online Services for the following routes: outgoing and return flight for Frankfurt am Main (FRA) to Mauritius (MRU), Barbados (BGI), Windhoek (WDH) and Las Vegas (LAS), as well as Munich (MUC) to and from Bangkok (BKK). Please contact the Eurowings call centre.
