Can I cancel my Wizz Air flight? Can I get a refund for my Wizz Air flight?

Do you have a Wizz Air flight you cannot use anymore? Read below to find out about how you can cancel your flight and get a refund, change the flight or change the name on your ticket and sell the flight to someone else.

Up to 14 days before the flight

  • You can cancel your reservation up to the 14th day before the departure of your flight for a cancellation fee of €60.00 and receive a refund

  • Ways to cancel:

Within 14 days of the flight

  • Cancel your reservation within 14 days before your flight and receive a full refund after paying the fee for other services and the Seat Protection Fee* of €80.00.

  • Ways to cancel:

*SEAT PROTECTION FEE: the amount payable as set out on the Website if Wizz Air exercises its rescission rights and cancels the reservation due to reasons attributable to the Passenger in accordance with these General Conditions of Carriage.

 

However, with WIZZ Flex added to your booking you may cancel flights included in that booking up to 3 hours before the scheduled departure time of your outbound flight. The purchase price for the cancelled flight will be credited to your WIZZ Account. You may cancel on the flight summary page, via the Wizz Air call centre, or at the airport desk.

In the unfortunate event of a death in the immediate family, please request a refund from Wizz Air by submitting a claim.

 

Can I change my Wizz Air flight?

Change your flight’s date, time and route for a fee, and by paying applicable fare differences up to 3 hours before your actual flight’s scheduled departure time:

  • on your Wizz Air flight summary page

  • through travel agents

  • at the airport desks

  • via the Wizz Air call centre

 

The flight change fee is €30-€40 per passenger per flight, depending on days left until departure, in addition to the fare difference.

  • More than 30 days to go: 30€ per passenger per flight

  • Between 7 – 30 days to go: 35€ per passenger per flight

  • Within 7 days to go: 40€ per passenger per flight

 

If the available fare or the applicable taxes, fees or charges are lower for the new flight, only the difference resulting from the lower taxes will be refunded.

 

Can I change the name on my Wizz Air booking?

Yes, you can change the name of the passenger online up to 3 hours before the scheduled time of departure. A name change fee of €45 is applicable for each leg of your flight.

 

Name change is free of charge online if a misspelled name or a typo needs to be corrected:

  • if there are maximum 3 characters to be changed in the name added to your booking

  • if you need to extend an abbreviated name (eg.: John T. Smith) to a full name ( eg.: John Thomas Smith) in order to match your travel document

  • if you need to change the gender (title) of the name added to your booking

You can only make one free name change correction in your booking.
