Credit certificate terms and conditions
Credit certificate values are displayed and calculated in US dollars (USD).
You can apply credit certificates on alaskaair.com on flights operated by Alaska Airlines (flights 1-999, 1000-1999, 2000-2999, and 3300-3499).
You may redeem credit certificate(s) when purchasing a new ticket online at alaskaair.com on or before the expiration date. Actual travel may extend past the expiration date.
Credit certificates may only be redeemed through www.alaskaair.com and may not be redeemed through a travel agency or any other channel.
You may redeem credit certificates toward the fare, plus applicable taxes and government-imposed fees, on any new ticket. You must pay any service charges, change fees, and/or checked baggage fees using another form of payment.
Credit certificates cannot be used to purchase Alaska Airlines air cargo services, Lounge membership, onboard services, food or beverages, goods or services offered by Mileage Plan™ partners, gift certificates, trip protection, or hotel and car reservations.
You may redeem up to 4 credit certificates toward one travel reservation. If your credit certificates are insufficient to cover the full cost of your new ticket, you can pay the difference using a credit card or other form of payment. If the new ticket price is less than the amount on your credit certificates, a credit balance will remain on your certificate until it is decreased to zero.
Your credit certificate will remain valid for 12 months from the issue date of your original ticket, or 30 days from the date of exchange/cancellation (whichever is greater).
Credit certificates cannot be redeemed for cash, check, or gift certificates and cannot be credited back to a charge card.
Credit certificates are not available when canceling or exchanging award, non-revenue or industry tickets.
You may accrue miles on tickets purchased with a credit certificate, subject to the Mileage Plan conditions of membership.
Credit certificates are non-transferable and will be forfeited if bartered or sold.
Credit certificates are forfeited if they were obtained or used in illegally or fraudulently, or if they were obtained through unauthorized persons or channels.
If credit certificates were used for payment in violation of these terms and conditions or of applicable law, you must provide an alternate form of payment before being allowed to travel, or your ticket may be canceled.
Alaska Airlines reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time and at their sole discretion.
