Can I cancel my Bravofly Booking?

Do you have to cancel your Bravofly booking?

Yes, you can cancel the holiday you booked with Bravofly but you are not guaranteed any refund for the money you spent in making the original reservation. Because most people choose to pay the cheapest option Bravofly offers, their bookings are non-refundable. The special ‘last minute.com Top Secret' hotel reservations also cannot be changed and are non-refundable. Some hotels may also require that you pay non-refundable fees, and thus Bravofly will pass on these fees to you. Other hotel rooms may also be non-refundable from the time they are booked. Furthermore, hotels may charge a higher fee if a cancellation is within 24 to 48 hours before the date of arrival. Bravofly connects you to various hotels and so the rules may vary from hotel to hotel; however, the specifics for each hotel and their cancellation policies will be displayed at the time of booking on the confirmation page.

In regards to flights, your booking will be subject to the specific airline’s Terms & Conditions as well as Bravofly’s. As long as the airline allows for changes or cancellations, Bravofly will allow it as well. However, some fares are either non-refundable or non-changeable, and in some circumstances, both. Because the cancellation penalties vary by airline, it is important to check the fees associated with your booking that will be displayed on the confirmation page after you book through Bravofly.

For holiday packages, the cancellation fees will depend on the predetermined contract that you signed at the making of the reservation. If the booking has been both processed and confirmed then you will be faced with either a €30 or a £30 handling fee (depending on your currency).

Did you know that instead of cancelling your Bravofly reservation, you can sell it to someone else and get your refund that way? This will allow you to avoid paying all these cancellation fees to Bravofly and the individual travel providers. You can sell flights, hotel reservations and package holidays, as long as you travel provider allows you to change the names of the passengers. You might have to pay name change fees, but these are usually lower than the cancellation fees. If your booking is non-refundable, then selling it to someone else is the only way to get a refund! Can I sell my Bravofly booking?

Yes, you can! As long as the flight and hotel reservation allow for name changes then a simple change of name is all it takes in order to be able to re sell your booking and get your refund that way. You may be faced with the amendment fee specific to your hotel on top of any airline charges.

But did you know that under the Package Travel Directive, which applies in the whole of the European Union, travel agents have to allow name changes for package holidays? A package holiday is anything where you buy two combinations of travel bookings - like a hotel and a flight. Bravofly has to allow you to transfer the holiday in another person's name.
